MMC is excited to announce that we have officially hired a new full time provider to help expand our availability to locals and tourists alike! Alison Joseph, FNP-C will begin seeing patients full time at Mountain Medical Center in Ridgway, CO in June 2021. Her patient panel will be open for both acute care for travelers and for local patients who would like to establish full time care.
Ali has spent the majority of her nursing career in the inpatient setting. In the military, she worked on a medical surgical floor before beginning a career in labor and delivery. After separating from the military, Ali spent time in Haiti training midwives and caring for Haitian women in a rural setting. She then decided to further her education as a Family Nurse Practitioner, as she enjoyed spending time in clinic and the continuity of care that family practice provided.
When a family move brought them to Colorado, she went back to bedside nursing at UCHealth Memorial North’s Birth Center. At this high-risk facility, she cared for high risk antepartum, intrapartum and post-partum patients creating an entirely new skill set.
Ali is looking forward to planting roots in Ridgway with her family and her new role as a family practice provider. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients and caring for them as a whole person. With an open and welcoming personality, she looks forward to getting to know you and caring for members of the community!
