OURAY COUNTY SAFER AT HOME STATUS POTENTIAL CHANGE AND COMMUNITY TESTING EVENT
Ouray County may be moving to the Safer at Home Level 2 (Yellow) status based on recent COVID-19 positive case increases. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has been in contact with Tanner Kingery, Ouray County Public Health Director, and will make a final determination this week.

Safer at Home Level Two will have the following impacts on Ouray County:
PERSONAL GATHERING SIZE: Up to 10 from no more than 2 households
P-12 SCHOOLS: In-person, hybrid, or remote as appropriate
HIGHER EDUCATION: In-person, hybrid, or remote as appropriate and other strategies to increase social distancing
PLACES OF WORSHIP AND LIFE RITES – INDOOR UNSEATED FUNCTIONS: 50% capacity or 50 no calculator, (or up to 100 with calculator)
PLACES OF WORSHIP AND LIFE RITES – INDOOR SEATED FUNCTIONS:50%, 100 person capacity
RESTAURANTS – INDOORS: 50% capacity or 50 (or up to 100 with calculator)
RESTAURANTS – OUTDOORS: 6ft between parties outdoors, per local zoning
NON-CRITICAL MANUFACTURING: 50% capacity or 50 (or up to 100 with calculator)
OFFICES: 50% capacity
BARS: Closed
GYMS/FITNESS: 25% capacity or 75 people
GROUP SPORTS AND CAMPS: 25 person capacity per activity
RETAIL: 50% capacity
PERSONAL SERVICES: 50% capacity or 50 people
LIMITED HEALTH CARE SETTINGS: 50% capacity or 50 people
EVENTS – INDOOR UNSEATED: 50%, 50 no calculator, (or up to 100 with calculator)
EVENTS – INDOOR SEATED: 50%, 100 person capacity (6ft distancing between parties)
EVENTS – OUTDOOR UNSEATED: 50%, 175 person capacity (with calculator)
EVENTS – OUTDOOR SEATED: 50%, 175 person capacity (6ft distancing between parties)
OUTDOOR GUIDED SERVICES: 50% capacity or 10 people

In light of the nature of the newest positive cases within Ouray County, the Colorado National Guard testing support team and Ouray County Public Health Agency will once again offer a community-wide, voluntary, no charge testing event. The testing will be done in the same drive through testing format, a doctor’s note or order will not be required and people seeking tests do not need to show symptoms. Testing will be done Wednesday, November 11th at the Ouray County 4-H Events Center parking lot from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm.

Ways that you can continue to protect yourselves, family members and community members:
• Stay home
• Wash your hands, often
• Disinfect hard surfaces frequently
• Practice social distancing
• Wear a mask when around people
And if you become sick or are a close contact of a confirmed case:
• Self-Quarantine. If possible, keep yourself isolated from other people in your household.
• Call your healthcare provider if you have concerns about your symptoms
• Seek testing if recommended by your healthcare provider
