Our Pledge to Our Community:
- The health & safety of our patients and staff is top priority.
- Our office remains open for healthcare services if at all possible.
- Reduced-risk appointments are now available.
Yesterday, Gov. Jared Polis issued a statewide stay-at-home order beginning today and staying in effect until April 11 in response to COVID-19. However, Mountain Medical Center is exempt from this order as healthcare is considered a critical service.
In order to comply with social distancing requirements, we have already instituted vehicle check-ins, closed our waiting room, and are limiting the number of people in the office at any given time. In addition to those safety measures and thanks to increased coverage by insurance companies, we are now also able to offer TeleHealth services in many cases!
Keep in mind that every commercial payer is different so you should call the number on the back of your insurance card to verify that telehealth visits with your Primary Care Provider (PCP) are covered during this time, but below is the information we have been able to compile thus far.
*Note, all coverage below is for “synchronous audiovisual connection” visits (audio + visual at same time). MMC is meeting those requirements by using the HIPAA-compliant Zoom for Healthcare platform. There is a free app you can download on your smartphone or tablet, or you can run the program from your desktop or laptop computer (as long as they have a webcam).
