UPDATE: 3/23/2020
Did you know that the CDC updated their coughing & sneezing etiquette guidance back in 2003? If you were taught to sneeze or cough into your hand, it’s time to update your habits!

Here are the proper ways to cough/sneeze:
- Cover your mouth AND nose with a tissue and then immediately dispose of the tissue in a waste basket
- If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve/elbow – NOT your hands.
Remember to always wash your hands with soap & water after sneezing/coughing. If you don’t have access to clean, running water, use an alcohol-based sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol to clean hands. (CDC Source)
Thanks for doing your part to keep us all healthy, no matter the time of year or current pandemic status!
